Why the first five pages?

1. Most editors and agents decide whether they are interested in your novel within the first five pages. If they’re not “hooked” by then, they seldom read further.

2. Book Rx can usually identify your most common issues right from the beginning of your manuscript. Once you’re given some tips on how to find and fix these issues, you can apply those techniques to the rest of your manuscript.

Your $25 fee can be applied toward future Book Rx services for the same manuscript, as long as it is within 4 months of the original service.

Payment and submission guidelines for The First Five Pages special is the same as for other services, with the exception that the chapter heading can start at the top of page 1.
